Second Homecoming Day

On June 7, 2024, the Maple Program held its second Homecoming Day with the J Program, providing an opportunity for students from both programs and alumni to interact with each other. First, alumni who are in Japan were invited to give lectures, and then there was a time for exchange between the alumni and students. Many alumni from all over Japan gathered at the Minoh Campus and enjoyed meeting each other again after a long time.
The speakers at the alumni lecture this time were an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) of the JET program, a person working for a Japanese company, and a graduate student from our graduate school. They spoke about their own experiences working and finding employment in Japan, and graduate school admissions/research. At the exchange meeting, the seniors and juniors were divided into groups of “participating in the JET Program,” “finding a job at a Japanese company,” and “going on to graduate school,” and had time to talk with each other. Students asked questions and sought advice from the alumni about their career paths.
We would like to thank all the alumni who took time to participate in the Homecoming Day event. Thank you very much.
