As the number of Japanese companies expanding their businesses overseas is rising considerably, there’s an increasing need for personnel with high Japanese language proficiency and a broad knowledge of Japanese culture. There’s a growing demand for talented individuals who can act as a bridge between a company and the local community. At the same time, more and more foreigners work in Japan. In today’s society, talented foreigners do not only speak Japanese, but are also able to work together with the local community. The Maple Program aims to raise such talented individuals.
