Study tour to Kyoto/Mie
On June 18-19, 2026, CJLC conducted a study tour to Kyoto and Mie Prefecture and 38 Maple program students participated. On the first day of the trip, they visited Byodoin Temple and Meoto Iwa or Wedded Rocks. At Byodoin, they enjoyed the beautiful architecture the Phoenix Hall, and then visited the Hoshokan Museum. Next, they visited the Meoto Iwa and the nearby Amano Iwaya and Futami Okitama Shrine, accompanied by guides.
On the second day, they visited Ise Jingu, and the Ninja Museum of Igaryu. First, after visiting Naiku of Ise Jingu, they had free time at Okage Yokocho. They enjoyed having lunch and buying souvenirs from Ise. Next, they visited the Ninja Museum of Igaryu, where they watched a ninja show and toured the museum.
In addition to the tour, the students experienced Japanese culture, such as Japanese-style rooms, Japanese cuisine, hot springs, and yukata, at the Japanese-style hotel they stayed in. Through a two-day trip, they were able to experience Japanese culture that could not be experienced in the classroom and deepen their understanding of Japan.
